The entire Ahirwal seems to be in the grip of violence that started with stone-pelting on the Brajmandal Yatra in Nuh district of Haryana. The heat of the violence was felt in Gurugram as well as Palwal, Faridabad, Rewari districts on Tuesday. So far, more than 90 vehicles have been burnt in different places. Three people, including two home guards, have been reported dead. The cyber police station in Nuh has been vandalised by a mob. Curfew has been declared for two days in Nuh (Mewat) district.

Internet has also been suspended in parts of southern Haryana to prevent the spread of rumours. Apart from Nuh, schools and colleges in Faridabad and Palwal districts have also been closed on Tuesday.

13 companies of security forces deployed, Section 144 imposed in 3 districts:


Social media has revealed that 13 companies of security forces have been deployed in Nuh, Sohna and adjoining districts. Six more companies are coming here soon. Curfew is in force in Nuh, but the situation is currently under control in adjoining Faridabad, Palwal and Gurugram. Section 144 has been imposed in these three districts. A peace committee meeting is being called in Sohna.

Schools, colleges closed in Faridabad, Palwal:


Schools and colleges in Faridabad and Palwal have been closed on Tuesday due to the possibility of violence. This step has also been taken due to the imposition of Section 144 in the districts. Schools and colleges in Nuh have also been closed due to curfew. Board exams scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in the district have also been postponed. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony in the state. Khattar has said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has also appealed for peace.

Traffic going towards Nuh was stopped at Sohna in Gurugram. Vehicles were diverted to the KMP Peripheral Expressway. This also spread rumors in Sohna. After a while, violence also started in Sohna. In Sohna, shots were fired between two groups. Apart from two houses, several vehicles and roadside kiosks were set on fire. Here too, about 15 people have been injured in the firing. The disturbances continued till late in the night in Sohna.
